Ana Laura completed her PhD at U of T in 2011 where her research focused on the educational role of public remembrance practices of the disappeared in Argentina. She is currently a member of the Edmonton Historical Board and Edmonton Heritage Council Board as well as Chair of the Community Archive Committee for the Memoria Viva Society of Edmonton. She has also collaborated with Native Counselling Services of Alberta on projects centred on remembering the legacy of Residential Schools.
